Andrea Ponsi
Andrea Ponsi works as a designer, author and architect in the city of Florence. He is and always has been passionate about the relationship between ecology and architecture. Ponsi combines the mediums of narrative and drawing as a new way of studying urban design and helps us all to see the modernity and freshness in Florence. This insight has led to his now preferred method of drawing called analogical drawing, “in which certain views of the city are redrawn with another architecture language”. This study and these new drawings can be seen in his books Florence, a Map of Perceptions and Firenze: Changing Viewpoints. Our bike ride around the city stopping and taking in the constant flow against the backdrop of genius was a highlight of ItaliaDesign 2012.
